2024, 11"X14" oil on cradled panel. Can iconic beauty truly be timeless? Or is truly timeless beauty automatically iconic? This is the first in a series of experiments testing that notion.  Marilyn Monroe's ethereal beauty is transported back three and a half centuries to stand in for Vermeer's iconic "Girl with a Red Hat".
